Oregon possesses an unreal amount of variety: in terrain, climate, crops and cuisine. As a family vacation spot — particularly with very young children — it doesn’t get much better. From the wild, crenulated Oregon Coast to the lush passages of the Columbia River Gorge, and from the sweet taste of berry harvest season to the delicacy of the Willamette Valley’s wine country, these images capture Oregon during its finest time of year: August.
