Alsace
From a wine perspective, Alsace is known for its extremely diverse soils, a wealth of different grapes (e.g. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer), and a preponderance of organic and biodynamic estates. In 2018, I traveled to Colmar for the annual Millesimes d'Alsace, a bi-annual celebration of the area's wines, and met with several producers. All images are available for purchase/download.
